New: CD Ivan Paduart and Metropole Orchestra
The Mons Records label has issued a new CD by Belgian pianist and composer Ivan Paduart. Its title is 'Crush'and Paduart plays his own compositions together with the Metropole Orchestra. The arrangements are by himself and some others including Michel Herr, Bert Joris and conductor Jim McNeely.
Foretaste
In this jazz music tenor saxophonist Bob Malach and singer Fay Claassen also contributed their swinging mite. On the Paduart website one can hear a small foretaste of the numbers 'The bridge between us two' and 'Waterfalls'.“Must”
In ‘Brussel Deze Week’ of June 2010 the CD was awarded a score of 3 (out of a maximum of 4) bullets. The reviewer considered the album “an absolute must” and “an utterly succesful blend of the worlds of classical and jazz music.”'Crush'
