8 participants in Metropole Orkest Arrangers Workshop, March 19th – 24th, 2012
Over 100 advanced young arrangers from all over the world applied for the 2012 edition of the Metropole Orkest International Arrangers Workshop!
Vince Mendoza and the Metropole Orkest are delighted with the high quality of the applicants and selected 8 very talented arrangers to participate during master classes, rehearsals and assignments like writing a 2 minutes arrangement on a theme to be given at the start of the week.
The 8 selected participants are:
1. Laura Winkler – from Austria
2. Jesse Passenier – from the Netherlands
3. Daniel Jamieson – from Canada
4. Erica Seguine – from the USA
5. Malte Schiller – from Germany
6. Rasmus Puur – from Estonia
7. Vidjay Beerepoot – from the Netherlands
8. Christian Elsässer – from Germany
Their first assignment will be to write an arrangement for guest vocalist Kurt Elling (photo).
All arrangements will be performed at the final concert of the week on Saturday night March the 24th, 20.30 pm at jazz venue Lantaren Venster Rotterdam.
